What is the use of adapters camera lens?
Can someone please tell me the use of lens adapters camera. What is the importance of having or not having it? I'm thinking about buying a Canon S3 IS. I will not buy an SLR camera as I am new to photography. I'm thinking to take photography as a hobby. So when I went through Canon's website I came across this term camera lens adapter. Therefore, this is the why put the question on Yahoo Answers.
I had the Canon S3IS for about 8 months. Love it! So far I have not found a need for adapters. But basically, Canon offers two configurations – a barrel type adapter that fits over the main lens, and on which a lens can be mounted either wide or tele. I think there are two different adapters – one for each facility. If you are going to shoot a lot of wide angle, you can choose from wide angle converter. This is the one area where S3 is insufficient. It is normal broader view equivalent to 35mm, which is not really very wide. In my experience, the television in original Configuation 12x so good, I doubt you'd ever want to add a TV converter! One possible advantage of others via an adapter that can add filters or a hood. I recommend that — if on the S3, and if you want to add adapters, lenses, etc – buy the Canon brand accessories. Yes, they are more expensive. But believe me this in an area where you actually get what you pay. And an ancillary object of shit that distorts and has lousy color rendition in NEVER a good buy!
