What color would use to appeal to the sensitivity of the bar?
I'm trying to use a flashing LED display that appeals to peripheral vision. In the eye, bars are placed at the periphery and are therefore biological sensors need to appeal. Since rods are sensitive to black and white, I am able to use black and white LEDs to perform this particular task, however I have heard that the bars are also sensitive to other frequencies of light. I wonder first, if you could tell me if my approach to this problem makes sense and secondly what colors (other than black and white) I would use?
Color bars are not sensitive. They are responsible for night vision, motion detection and peripheral vision. The website below has all kinds of details about the frequencies and light responses of rods and cones.
